Submission Deadline December 2023
It is our pleasure to invite you to submit manuscripts to the Special Issue “On-Farm Research in Organic Farming” within Organic Farming, a peer-reviewed and open access journal. On-farm research is an emerging field aiming to transform global agriculture by involving farmers and associated actors in the design and evaluation of farming and food systems. Research in organic farming could use this potential more widely and systematically to co-design solutions with farmers and advisors. There are inspiring examples of how farmers and other actors co-design diversified systems. However, the co-design process is complex, difficult to describe and often not reported in academic research. To close this gap, we particularly invite papers that describe the processes within on-farm research e.g. in demonstration networks, and especially with a systems’ perspective.
